With the holidays on the horizon, I recently received a Falling Into Fun Printing Party kit that included all the printing tools my family needs for everyday tasks or seasonal projects. Mommy Parties, HP and Walmart so graciously provided the kit which included the following: (1) HP Deskjet 3052A Wireless e-All-In-One Printer, (2) HP XL Ink Cartridges, and (10) $10 Walmart gift cards to distribute to our guests!

It’s that time of year again where the holidays are just around the corner- it’s the perfect time to complete some seasonal projects and scratch a couple things off your to-do list. The Arbor Mist Frozen Wine Cocktails are delicious alcoholic beverages that make entertaining your guests easy. This is because all you have to do is freeze the entire bag for about five hours then gently squeeze or massage the top of the bag and empty the contents into an empty glass. They come in a single serve 10 ounce pouch and contain 6% alcohol. If the beverage is too frozen or cold then all you have to do is let it sit out for a couple minutes and it will gradually melt into a delectable and flavorful wine. The White Pear Pinot Grigio tasted crisp, clean, refreshing, and full of flavor. Pinot Grigio pairs nicely with seafood, light pastas and cheese cracker combinations. Since this wine is fairly acidic itself, avoid pairing with foods that have high acid contents, like citrus fruits.

Next, I tried the Strawberry White Zinfandel at a house warming party. This flavor was a little lighter but very sweet. I even let the frozen beverage melt a bit so I could truly appreciate the gentle flavors. My friends and neighbors were very impressed with the beverage and even asked for seconds. White zinfandel is delicious with cream-based-sauce with pasta, with fish, pork, and other “lighter” meals. Strawberry White Zinfandel is a very refreshing wine that is perfect for many light summer dishes.

Last but not least is my favorite flavor, Blackberry Merlot. I personally prefer red wine over white wine so this flavor was right up my alley. I drank this flavor while reading a book curled up next to the fire. The Blackberry Merlot tasted soft and was a medium-bodied red wine with juicy fruit flavors. Blackberry Merlot would go well with poultry, red meat, pork, pastas, and salads.

Now I know what you’re thinking, this is obviously a “chick drink” right? Wrong. I served these alcoholic beverages to an abundance of my guy friends and the majority of them were very impressed. An unplanned shopping adventure led me to the mall today where I realized I had posted some FREEBIES awhile back that I had never taken advantage of! **Side note: I hardly ever go to the mall as I would much rather prefer to shop online and take advantage of a wider varieties of items and better deals from the comfort of my own home** “Darn!” I thought to myself, “I should have anticipated that I was going to randomly end up at the mall today and I should have had these papers printed out before my departure!”

I busted out my phone and started browsing the CGBW website. The first mall FREEBIE I came across was an offer for a Bath & Body Works 2oz sample of their newest lotion, Cashmere Glow (RV:$3.50). As I followed the redemption instructions online I realized that I didn’t have to have anything printed out to redeem the coupon (score!) nor did I have to make a purchase (double score!). Needless to say I bee lined for the Bath & Body Works store. The employees in there were helpful, friendly and took the coupon on my phone without hesitation. Also, the bottom of my receipt had a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase! Am I coming back to that store to spend money? You bet.

I opened up the browser on my phone to see if there were any more desirable mall freebies and I came across an offer for a FREE L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream (RV:$10.00)! **Side note: Offer still available HERE** This was another offer in which no printing was required. Just like my experience at Bath & Body Works, this visit went uber smooth. The polite staff at the L’Occitane store were amazing. Of course… Good customer service can go such a long way!

We were recently asked to host a Gutzy Gear house party by Gutzy Gear & MomSelect and BOY WAS I EXCITED! I think I was more excited than the kids! We received a package filled to the brim with Gutzy Gear Straps and patches. Gutzy straps are long rectangular velcro straps that go over the shoulder strap of a child’s backpack. You can then adhere a velcro patches to the straps, personalizing the kids’ backpacks to the EXTREME!  A variety of patches are available for purchase ranging from Sponge Bob, Iron Man and Dora the Explorer to symbols such as peace signs, animals, hearts, smiley faces, and flowers.

We had a blast taking part in a bunch of new, but familiar “gutzy-ed up” activities including Gutzy Bingo and Gutzy Dominos. The kids were ready to jump through the roof with excitement once the games began. Gutzy Bingo was a crowd favorite, because a Gutzy Gear prize was given to the winner of each game. Gutzy Bingo is played just like regular Bingo but instead of using numbers and letters, you use the adorable symbols and charming characters that are unique to Gutzy Gear patches. We even came up with our own game which was a similar version to “pin the tail on the donkey”! Using the Gutzy Gear bingo board, the kids closed their eyes (kids that started peaking got a blindfold), got spun around three times, then walked up to the bingo board with a sticker. Where ever their sticker landed determined which Gutzy Gear patch they got to keep.

The kids favorite part of the day was when they got to swap Gutzies with their friends!  It encouraged the kids to interact with one another because they were eager to compare patches. What’s great is that the kids can trade anytime because the velcro strap allows the patches to attach and detach with ease. It’s so easy anybody can do it! It allows the kids to express themselves freely in a positive manner. MomSelect and Leap Frog sponsored a Leap Frog Touch Magic party in my home this past weekend. We had a blast playing games and using the brand new Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitars and Touch Magic Learning Bus! We had about 15 kids over with their ages ranging from three to ten-years-old. As you can probably imagine it was quite a hectic scene, but once everyone got settled we were able to play some exciting new games.

The festivities started with traditional games such as “duck duck goose”, “hot potato”, and “leaping chairs” . The games were followed by pizza and a delicious cookie cake!  After everyone was stuffed we finally brought out the brand new toys. The kids could hardly contain themselves! The older children (aged from 4-7) seemed more interested in the Touch Magic Learning Guitars. With virtually no instruction, they were able to quickly teach themselves how to use the guitar. The guitar allowed the kids to be creative because it offers a wide variety of songs for you to play along with! Some of these songs on this instrument include: Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Alphabet Song, If your Happy and You Know It and Pop Goes the Weasel. You can also play solo and choose between acoustic and electric sounds. Various buttons make other fun noises such as drum sounds and applause.

The little ones (aged 3-4) were much more engaged with the Touch Magic Learning Bus. The bus allows kids to learn their ABCs by playing along to songs. They can use six piano keys and two drum keys to play along with songs such as The Wheels on the Bus and much more. The Touch Magic Learning Bus is a great product that teaches kids fundamental learning skills. More importantly, both the Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar and Touch Magic Learning Bus held up great against a full frontal assault. Neither product broke nor malfunctioned during this party where several children were attempting to play with them at once.  Not only did this product excite the children, but it was able to keep their attention for more then two minutes, which is always a huge plus! It taught the children simple problem solving skills and core concepts such as trial and error.

Each and every child had a chance to play with both products throughout the duration of the party. Overall, the Touch Magic Learning Guitars were the party favorite. We came up with new games such as Karaoke sing along with the Touch Magic Learning Bus and our own version of Simon Says. When playing Simon Says a child would play a short version of a guitar solo and another child would then have to replicate it (the kids were too young for this game because apparently there is no such thing as a “short guitar solo” when you’re a rock star).  Both products were deemed very educational and seemed extremely durable. The kids couldn’t keep their hands off the products from the moment that we brought them into the living room. Moms also gave the nod of approval due to the products’ inexpensive price range and educational value.
