I spent my free time this weekend volunteering at a Beer Festival for Give2TheTroops. In the past I have volunteered my time at Give2TheTroops store where we work to make cards and build care packages for soldiers overseas. I was pretty excited when they asked me to be apart of the festival this weekend because I LOVE giving back and I LOVE beer! = D My role at the festival was to collect donations for Give2TheTroops by selling mugs. Specifically, these mugs :
(I was collecting donations for the mug on the far right & far left, the one in the middle is the tasting glass. I got all these for FREE for volunteering)
I talked to a bunch of cool vendors and mostly drunk patrons, but one of the coolest vendors I talked to was Mark Fesche. He is the head brewmaster at Huske*Hardware*House Brewing Company He even gave me some beer to take home in one of the most fabulous containers I could ask for! = D This bottle is huge, about 12 inches tall. I highly recommend stopping by the Huske*Hardware*House Brewing Company if you are ever in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
I picked up tons of swag to giveaway to you lovely folks as well including stickers, pens and bottle openers! If you want some of it, leave me a meaningful comment below this post = D I will send some goodies out to the first ten people who comment.

That means alot giving back to the troops, i was in the navy 5 years and my hubby is currently in the air force. I always try to donate my time as well 🙂
Volunteering is so much fun. It really can make a difference. I love to volunteer! And its especially nice to give back to our troops :).

My son is going into the Navy and wants to be a medic. My wife and I worry about him going and having a problem with being removed from his normal home life and feeling lost, hes kind of a momas boy. 🙂 So we appreciate all the groups at home that send out things to the troops to bring a bit of home to them. We recently got involved with a small group sending over books and magazines to the troops.
So, thank you for the work you do for our troops.
thats pretty cool. i like the idea they were doing around her at halloween and sending candy to toops and buying it off little kids. 🙂
I think its wonderful what you are doing for the troops. My husband is in the Army and it makes it much easier on him to have lots of support.

It is awesome that you take time to volunteer. My husband is currently in the Air Force and just yesterday we volunteered at a local Veterans Retirement home to help all the Vets play Bingo.

Hello, I know that I have missed the freebies but I still wanted to say that your support for the troops is awesome. My boyfriend just recently got out of the army and spent 2 years in Iraq and I have a friend who is in Baghdad now and they both are very thankful to all the support that every one gives. 🙂
Its so great to support our troops. I give much support and love to them. I feel like I could never thank them enough for what they do. To put your life and family on hold while you fight for our country, thats what makes them all heros to me.
